Semi Permanent Lip Blush/HD lips

Semi-permanent makeup, also known as micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing, is a technique in which pigments are deposited into the upper layer of the skin to enhance facial features, imitate the look of hair or fill in gaps. This procedure aims to replicate the look of natural hairs or conventional makeup, such as eyebrow filling and lip colour, but with longer-lasting results.

Pre Treatment Care

You need to have smooth healthy lips to get the best result from your lip blush treatment. Unlike most areas of your body your lips contain no oil glands and can not generate their own hydration.

  • Stay hydrated by drinking lots of water, dehydration can effect the lips.

  • Use a lip scrub up till the day before your appointment if you are prone to dry lips, this will gently remove any dry skin and hydrate your lips.

  • If you are prone to cold sores (herpes simplex) it is advised to use an oral anti herpes medication for a week before and a week after your appointment. You can get this from your GP or on Pharmica.co.uk. this will control an outbreak.

  • Do not exercise the day of your procedure.

  • No alcohol, Caffein or Drugs to be consumed at least 24 hours before the procedure.

  • Avoid the sun and tanning a week before the procedure, i can not work on skin that is compromised by the sun.

  • Do not take aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E or ibuprofen 24 hours before the procedure.

  • Fillers in the area must have been done no less than 2 week prior.

  • Botox should be done no less than 2 weeks prior.

You can not have any Semi Permanent procedure done if you are under the age of 18, Pregnant or breastfeeding. Other exclusions do apply, please speak with me if you are unsure.
